Rahat Food Kit Distribution: A Step Towards Better Nutrition for Children

Shakti Organisation's Preschool Nutrition Program continues to make a significant impact in the rural communities of Odisha. Recently, Rahat food kits were distributed to 96 families, benefiting 120 children from the villages of GumagudaBirubaiPalikidang, and Pedaguda. This initiative addresses child nutritionfood security, and sustainable development in rural areas, providing essential food support to families.


Each Rahat food kit included 26 kg of rice and 4 kg of chickpeas, ensuring the families received critical food supplies to meet the nutritional needs of their children. This distribution is part of our larger effort to combat malnutrition and improve childhood nutrition in underserved communities.

The event was attended by key figures, including BDO Pradumna MandalTahasildar Prana Krushna Panigrahi, and Lady Supervisor Smt. Subudhi Sabar. Their participation highlighted the collective effort to support rural children’s health and community development.

By addressing food insecurity and promoting sustainable nutrition, Shakti Organisation strives to create a brighter, healthier future for the children in these villages. We are committed to empowering rural families and fostering community resilience through programs that improve access to nutritious food.
