Videography is  a modern, flexible, and fast moving industry.It is simply the production of videos from conception to the final product, generally in a small scale ranging from a team of a few individuals to a single person who does everything from shooting the video to setting and editing.

Under Shakti Child Development Project, the videography training programme was organised for youths in view of building them as professional photographer. To a total of 60 youths from six partner organisations participated in the training programme where they got an opportunity to be trained from a professional videographer who was from Chennai. The training was conducted for a period of five days and the participants learned about photography, video shooting, editing, composition, etc..

Self-defense!! Karate for girls ….

In our society where we live, women usually referred as the weaker sex and are considered easier targets. The women and young girls are vulnerable to attack, molestation, rape, murder, etc. Normally the mindset of all is to ignore and just let it go. But we felt to realise that these instances can flare into other bigger heinous crimes. So, it is felt that the young girls should feel the importance of self-defense techniques and Karate is one of the self-defense techniques.

Karate is a Japanese martial art whose physical aspects seek the development of defensive and counter attacking body movements. Karate is a perfect way for children to gain self-confidence. Our Shakti organisation has organised training programme for 50 girls of JayKay Pur and Bhakurguda of Rayagada district. It was a 3 months long duration course where the girls were trained by a trained karate teacher. Out of 50 participants, dress materials were also given to 20 best performers. After completing the course even they have made stage performance in some occasions.

Now, the girls feel themselves very much self-defensive as they have the knowledge of Karate.

Shakti Child Development Programme supported ICDS centers for Safe Water & Hygene

Shakti Child Development PShakti Child Development rogramme supported 19 ICDS centers of Rayagada Block  for purified drinking water and hygiene-ness of pre-school children. In a function organised at Mission Shakti Conference hall, Rayagada, on 22.12.2015, the Dist. Social Welfare Officer Mrs. B.S.N.Bag attended as Chief Guest and distributed Water Purifier, First Aid Box and Hygene Kit. In her speech, she emphasized for the proper utilisation of these materials for the pre-school children and other stake holders at ICDS center level. She also appreciated the effort of Shakti Child Development programme in this regard. Project Manager Mr. Alok Ranjan Dash presided over the meeting, LS-1 Co-ordinator Mrs. Kalayani Raj co-ordinated the programme and the ICDS workers of 19 ICDS centers of the SCDP programme area attended the programme.
