Working Towards an EndToFilaria in Rayagada! 🦟🚫

Filariasis remains a major public health concern in several regions, affecting the lives of many. In a committed effort to combat this disease, Shakti Organisation, with the invaluable support of the National Health Mission (NHM), has launched a 40-day awareness program in the Rayagada block. This initiative aims to educate and empower communities to take preventive measures and actively contribute to the eradication of Filariasis.

Why This Initiative Matters

Filariasis is a mosquito-borne disease that can lead to severe health complications if left untreated. Through this campaign, we are focusing on: ✅ Educating communities about Filariasis and its prevention.
✅ Promoting the importance of Mass Drug Administration (MDA) for prevention.
✅ Encouraging early detection and timely treatment.
✅ Raising awareness about mosquito control measures to reduce transmission.

🤝 Strengthening Women’s Empowerment: Stakeholders' Meeting under the Mpowered Project

Under the Mpowered Project, a flagship initiative of Shakti Organisation for women's empowerment, a Stakeholders' Meeting was successfully held at Shakti Office, Ramanguda Block, Odisha.

The session brought together key stakeholders, including government officials such as BPM (OLM), BAO, BVO, BHO, BM (IBO), and BM (UGB), alongside Self-Help Groups (SHGs), to explore opportunities for convergence and strategize ways to strengthen the ecosystem that uplifts women.
