Shakti Child Development Programme supported ICDS centers for Safe Water & Hygene

Shakti Child Development PShakti Child Development rogramme supported 19 ICDS centers of Rayagada Block  for purified drinking water and hygiene-ness of pre-school children. In a function organised at Mission Shakti Conference hall, Rayagada, on 22.12.2015, the Dist. Social Welfare Officer Mrs. B.S.N.Bag attended as Chief Guest and distributed Water Purifier, First Aid Box and Hygene Kit. In her speech, she emphasized for the proper utilisation of these materials for the pre-school children and other stake holders at ICDS center level. She also appreciated the effort of Shakti Child Development programme in this regard. Project Manager Mr. Alok Ranjan Dash presided over the meeting, LS-1 Co-ordinator Mrs. Kalayani Raj co-ordinated the programme and the ICDS workers of 19 ICDS centers of the SCDP programme area attended the programme.

ଶକ୍ତି ଶିଶୁ ବିକାଶ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଅନୁକୁଲ୍ୟରେ ଶିଶୁ ଦିବସ ଉତ୍ସବ ମହା ସମାରୋହରେ, ରାୟଗଡା ସ୍ତିତ ଅଶୋକ କଲ୍ୟାଣ ମଣ୍ଡପ ଠାରେ ପାଳନ କରାଯାଇଛି । ଉକ୍ତ ଉତ୍ସବରେ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅତିଥି ଭାବେ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ସମାଜ ମଙ୍ଗଳ ଅଧିକାରୀଣୀ ଶ୍ରୀମତୀ ବି.ଏସ୍.ଏନ୍ .ବାଗ,ସମ୍ମାନିତ ଅତିଥି ଭାବେ ଶ୍ରୀ ଶେଇକ୍ ମଦିନା ଏବଂ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ବକ୍ତା ଭାବେ ରାୟଗଡା ମହିଳା ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ବରିଷ୍ଟ ଅଧ୍ୟାପକ ଡାଃ.ଦୁଷ୍ମନ୍ତ କୁମାର ମହାନ୍ତି ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ଉତ୍ସବ ରେ ରାୟଗଡା ଓ କୋଳନରା ବ୍ଲକ ର ୪୦୦ରୁ ଉର୍ଦ୍ଧ ଛାତ୍ର ଛାତ୍ରୀ ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସଙ୍ଗୀତ,ଚିତ୍ରାଙ୍କନ,ସାଧାରଣ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ନୃତ୍ୟ ପ୍ରତିଯୋଗିତା ଅନୁଷ୍ଟିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା ଏବଂ କୃତୀ ପ୍ରତିଯୋଗୀ ମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅତିଥିମାନେ ପୁରଷ୍କାର ଓ ମାନ ପତ୍ର ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ। ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅତିଥି ଶ୍ରୀମତୀ ବି.ଏସ୍.ଏନ୍ .ବାଗ ଶିଶୁ ଓ କିଶୋରୀ ବାଳିକା ମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଥିବା ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସରକାରୀ ଯୋଜନା ବିଷୟରେ ଆଲୋକପାତ କରିଥିଲେ। ସମ୍ମାନିତ ଅତିଥି ଶ୍ରୀ ଶେଇକ୍ ମଦିନା ପିଲାଙ୍କୁ ଜଣେ ସୁନାଗରିକ ହେବା ପାଇଁ ଭଲଭାବେ ପାଠ ପଡିବାକୁ ପରାମର୍ଶ ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ମୁଖ୍ୟ ବକ୍ତା ଡାଃ.ଦୁଷ୍ମନ୍ତ କୁମାର ମହାନ୍ତି ନେହୁରୁଙ୍କ ତ୍ୟାଗପୁତ ଜୀବନୀ ତଥା ପିଲାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ତାଙ୍କ ସ୍ନେହ ବିଷୟରେ ବିସ୍ତୃତ ଭାବେ ଉତଥାପାନ କରିଥିଲେ। ଶକ୍ତିର ସମ୍ପାଦକ ଶ୍ରୀ ଅଖିଳ ରଞ୍ଜନ ପଣ୍ଡା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମକୁ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷତା କରିଥିଲେ ଓ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମର ଲକ୍ଷ ଓ ଉଦ୍ଧେଷ୍ୟ ବିଷୟରେ ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ଉତ୍ସବକୁ ଶକ୍ତି ଶିଶୁ ବିକାଶ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମର ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପ ପରିଚାଳକ ଶ୍ରୀ ଆଲୋକ ରଞ୍ଜନ ଦାସ ସଂଯୋଜନା କରିଥିଲେ ଏବଂ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ କର୍ମକର୍ତ୍ତା ମାନେ ସହଯୋଗ କରିଥିଲେ।

ଶିକ୍ଷା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସୋଲାର ଲଣ୍ଟନ ବଣ୍ଟନ

ଶକ୍ତି ଶିଶୁବିକାଶ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଅନୁକୁଲ୍ୟରେ ଆର୍ଥିକଦୁର୍ବଳ ଶ୍ରେଣୀର ପାଠ ପଢୁଥିବା ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କ ଶିକ୍ଷାର ଅଭିବୃଦ୍ଧି ସକାଶେ ସୋଲାର ଲଣ୍ଟନ ଓ ବହି ପତ୍ର ବଣ୍ଟନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଆୟୋଜନ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା । ଏହି ଊପଲକ୍ଷେ ଆୟୋଜିତ ଊତ୍ସବରେ ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ଜିଲ୍ଲାପଳ ଶ୍ରୀଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀକାନ୍ତ ବେହେରା ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅତିଥି ଭାବେ ଓ ଜିଲା ଶିକ୍ଷାଧିକାରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ପ୍ରେମାନନ୍ଦ ରାଉତ ସମ୍ବାନିତ ଅତିଥି ଓ ରାୟଗଡା ମହିଳା ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଶ୍ରୀ ଉଦୟନାଥ ପଣ୍ଡା ମୁଖ୍ୟ ବକ୍ତା ଭାବେ ଯୋଗଦେଇ ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୋଲାର ଲଣ୍ଟନ ଓ ବହି ପତ୍ର ବଣ୍ଟନ କରିଥିଲେ ଏବଂ ଏହାର ସଦ ବିନିଯୋଗ କରି ପଢାପଢି କରିବାକୁ ଊପଦେଶ ଦେଇଥିଲେ । ଉକ୍ତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ୩୮୦ ପିଲାଙ୍କୁ ସୋଲାର ଲଣ୍ଟନ,୨୦୦ ପିଲାଙ୍କୁ ବହି ବଣ୍ଟନ ଏବଂ ୩୫ କଲେଜ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ବହି ଓ ଖାତା ବଣ୍ଟନ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା । ରାୟଗଡା ଓ କୋଳନରା ବ୍ଲକର ପିଲାମାନେ ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଦ୍ଵାରା ଉପୋକୃତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ । ଚାଇଲ୍ଡଫଣ୍ଡ ଇଣ୍ଡିଆ ସହାୟତାରେ ଶକ୍ତି ଅନୁଷ୍ଟାନ ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମକୁ ଆୟୋଜନ କରିଥିଲୋ। କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ଶକ୍ତିର ସଂପାଦକ ଶ୍ରୀ ଅଖିଲ ରଞ୍ଜନ ପଣ୍ଡା ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷତା କରିଥିବା ବେଳେ, ପ୍ରକଲ୍ପ ପରିଚାଳକ ଶ୍ରୀ ଆଲୋକ ରଞ୍ଜନ ଦାଶ ସଂଯୋଜନା କରିଥିଲେ। ପ୍ରକଲ୍ପର ସଂଯୋଜିକା ଶ୍ରୀମତୀ ସଙ୍ଗିତା ମଞ୍ଜରୀ ବେହେରା, ସଂଯୋଜକ ଶ୍ରୀ କବିରାଜ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଓ ଶକ୍ତିର ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ କର୍ମକର୍ତ୍ତା ମାନେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ କୁ ପରିଚାଳନା କରିଥିଲେ। 

ବିଶ୍ଵ ହାତଧୂଆ ଦିବସ ପାଳିତ

ଶକ୍ତି ଚାଇଲ୍ଡଲାଇନ-ରାୟଗଡା ତରୁପରୁ ଆଜି ବିଶ୍ଵ ହାତ ଧୂଆ ଦିବସ କୋତାପେଟା ଊଚ ପ୍ରାଥମିକ ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରେ ଏବଂ ରାୟଗଡା ପାଣି ଟାଙ୍କି ସାହିରେ ପାଳିତ ହେଇଥିଲା । ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କୁ ହାତ ଧୂଆର ଊପକାରିତା ବିଷୟରେ ସଚେତନ କରାଯିବା ସହିତ ଶିଶୁ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ଓ ଶିଶୁଅଧିକାର ବିଷୟରେ ସଚେତନ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା ଏବଂ ସୂଚନା ପତ୍ର ବଣ୍ଟନ କରାଯାଉଥିଲା । ଶକ୍ତି ଚାଇଲ୍ଡଲାଇନର କର୍ମକର୍ତ୍ତାମାନେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଅଧିକାର ଆଇନ ବିଷୟରେ ସଚେତନତା ସୃଷ୍ଟିକରିବା ସହିତ ସୌଚ ହେବା ପରେ ଏବଂ ଖାଇବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଭଲ ଭାବେ ସାବୁନରେ ହାତ ଧୂଇବା ଉପରେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱ ଦେଇଥିଲେ । ସ୍କୁଲର ମଧ୍ୟାହ୍ନ ଭୋଜନ ପୂର୍ବରୁ MULTI CAP ର ବ୍ୟବହାର ଉପରେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱ ଦେଇଥିଲେ ପିଲାମାନେ ହାତଧୋଇବା କୌସଳ ଶିଖିବା ପରେ ନିଜେ ମଧ୍ୟ ହାତ ଧୋଇଥିଲେ । ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ପ୍ରଧାନଶିକ୍ଷକ ଶେଷ ରେ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେଇ ସଭାଟିର ପରିସମାପ୍ତି କରିଥିଲେ ।

Reading improvement Programme (RIP) launched in 15 villages

Reading improvement Programme (RIP) is launched in 15 villages of Rayagada and Kolnara Block, of Rayagada District. On 14th Sep.2015 formally this programme was launched in BN Pur. In the inaugural function Mr. Keshab Meher (BEO), Mr. Gopal Krushna Rao (ABDO), Mrs. Mamita Huika (Sarapanch of Katapeta GP), Mr. Jagarao Saraka (President of SMC), Head Master and all teachers of BN Pur UG UP School attened as guest. Similarly in other 14 centres it was inaugurated by the concerned RIP volunteer, Community Mobilizer, Community Animator, SMC Member, School teachers and Local leaders of the concern villages. Mr. Alok Ranjan Dash (Project Manager, Shakti Child Development Programme) shared the aim and objectives of the programme. Mr. Keshab Meher (BEO, Rayagada) praised Shakti Child Development Programme for implementation of RIP and he also told that this is a good programme and this type of programme should be implemented in the remote areas of the block so that more and more students would be benefitted. Rayagada ABDO, Mr. Gopal Krushna Rao, also praised this programme and Shakti Child development Programme for the implementation of this type of programmes and he told that he is always ready to join in any programme or any campaign to create awareness among the students, parents and the community as a whole to increase the importance of education and to reduce the drop out and irregularity at schools. Among others the parents of the students were present in the programme.

CHILDLINE Rayagada Advisory Board Meeting held

CHILDLINE Rayagada Advisory Board(CAB) meeting held on 15.01.2015 at the Sadvabana Conference Hall, Collectorate, Rayagada. CAB Chairman- Cum-District Collector Dr. Sashi Bhusan Padhi presided over the meeting and DSWO Mrs. BSMN Bagh welcomed the participants. Director, CHILDLINE Rayagada Mr. Akhil Ranjan Panda presented the progress report of CHILDLINE Rayagada of the year 2013-14 and 2014-15. Mr. Panda briefed the house that, CHILDLINE has supported 542 children in 2013-14 and 332 Children in 2014-15. Center Co-ordinator Mr. Nikunja Bihari Pradhan presented the success stories of CHILDLINE Rayagada. Dr. Padhi expressed his pleasure over the progress of CHILDLINE Rayagada. Dr. Padhi said suitable steps should be taken to wall write the toll free no of CHILDLINE 1098 and its services in all Panchyats, NAC, Municipality, Schools and Anganwadi Centers of the district. In the meeting it is finalized that Steps will be taken to make hoarding in Tikiri, Gunupur, Muniguda, Singapur Road Railway station on CHILDLINE Services and CHILDLINE outreach programme will be conducted in all Public Schools. It is decided to identify and support more orphan and single parent child under sponsorship from DCPC. Collector assured all sort of support to CHILDLINE Rayagada. DWO Mr. Dhaneswar Prusti, CWC Chairman Mr. Hrudanada Panda, DEO Mr. P.N.Rout, DCPO Mr. Ramesh Chandra Nayak, DLO Mr. Naraendra Raikia, ASI,RPF Mr. A.K.Raju, Dy SP. Rly Mr. U.K.Singh, DPC,SSA Mr. P.K.Padhi, ADMO, Dr. S.P.Padhi, Member JJB Mr. Raj Kishore Sahu, PD, DRDA Mr. Prasant Kumar Rath participated in the deliberation. CHILDLINE Rayagada team of SHAKTI successfully co-ordinated the meeting.

Field Health Workers Training on Inter Personal Communication

32 days long, 4 days each a batch residential Training to ASHA health workers held at Ramanaguda Shakti Rural Development Training center from 27th Nov.-14 to 05th Jan.-15. 85 nos. ASHA from Ramanaguda Block and 157nos. of ASHA from Kolanara Block attended in the training programme. Training was imparted on use of new Inter Personal Communication technology, e.g. Mobile Kunji, Mobile Academy, Facts for Life (FFL) Video Series, Kantha Kahe Kahani and Shaktivarta. This integrated IPC skill building training helped to get additional skills to the front line workers which will be quite helpful to them to pass on key lifesaving messages to community whenever required.

Mobile Kunji is a a combination of a printed deck of laminated cards on a steel ring and a voice-based mobile service. The conversation starter, illustration, some bullet points, and a couplet are on the cards; while Dr Anita’s recorded voice comes through a mobile phone.

Delivering multimedia content through a basic mobile phone, without needing any expensive hardware, Mobile Kunji functions as a job aid for Community Health Workers (CHWs) that starts a conversation aimed at bringing about change in counselling process with community. It helps for standardized delivery of health message in the community.

Mobile Academy is an IVR (Interactive Voice Response) based learning aid designed to train the Community Health Worker and equips her with both technical information on family health behaviors and tips for effective communication.

“Mausi Kuhanti” is a video series based on the concept of infotainment and is developed by UNICEF. The video series uses Mausi and Radha who are important characters who offers solutions to the community health problems. This 13 theme based 48 series based video programme will be used in the community sensitization on health.

Shakti Varta is a SHG based dialogue & discussion to be taken up in every 15 days where efforts will be taken up to identify key health issues related to water, sanitation & nutrition and community will be motivated to take up specific action to overcome the challenges.

Kantha Kahe Kahani is a multi-channel, multimedia programme which aims to trigger discussion on health, water sanitation & nutrition issues. Discussion, dialogue & action form the core of the communication process in the programme.

As Trainer Miss. Pinki Moharana, Mr. Rama Cahndra Pradhan, Mr. Sarat Sahoo, Mrs. Namita Sahu, Mrs. Sangita Manjari Behera, and Mr. Harihar Halua imparted training. Practical demonstration and individual practice was done on IPC skill. Mr. Shyamlendhu Padhi of Shakti Organisation co-ordinated the programme. NHM,Rayagada supported the programme.
